DUTY OF CARE
Duty of Care: A Certificate Course in Student Residential Care is an online course made up of 32 units of work. Each unit will take between 20 – 40 minutes to complete.
The course is undertake online and requires you to complete all of Section 1 in a single sitting, and all of Section 2 in another single sitting.
All Units require the completion of a number of tasks to ensure those undertaking the course understand the information presented.

SECTION TWO – THE FUNDAMENTALS OF BOARDER CARE
- The Growing Child. Parts One & Two
- The Pastoral Needs of Boarders. Parts One & Two
- Guiding Boarders in Academic Work. Parts One & Two
- Guiding Boarders in Rest and Recreation. Parts One & Two
- Developing a Life-skills Course for Boarders. Parts One & Two
- Dealing with Bullying and Harassment. Parts One & Two
- Dealing with Disciplinary Matters. Parts One & Two
- Accepting Boarders that are Different. Parts One & Two
When both Sections One and Two have been completed to the required standard and candidates have fulfilled the enrolment requirements including being cleared to work in an unsupervised manner with children, a Certificate in Residential Care is awarded.
Digital delivery of Duty of Care makes it accessible to colleagues throughout Asia and enables you to do the course in your own time and to be credentialled with a Certificate in Student Residential Care that is internationally recognised.
