Asian Boarding Schools Association
The Asian Boarding Schools Association (ABSA) was formed in 2024 and forms part of a group of boarding school associations that include:
- Australian Boarding Schools Association
- Asian Boarding Schools Association
- Aotearoa Boarding Schools Association
This “family” of boarding associations has been established to resource boarding schools, their students and their staff, in their respective regions.

DUTY OF CARE ONLINE COURSE
Duty of Care: A Certificate Course in Student Residential Care is an online course made up of 32 units of work. Each unit will take between 20 – 40 minutes to complete.
This course is designed to be a practical course which can be successfully completed by most adults involved with the residential care of school children throughout Asia. As such the course will be useful for those in any positions. The course is designed to establish a clear standard of basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform residential care duties effectively.
